What our clients say

People behind the comparisons, there when it matters.

IPMIBenefits is run by Cogotec, the broker founded by Mo. These are clients in their own words.

I have been a client for four years. Mo has been super helpful, first in choosing the right plan, then in helping me with claims, and most importantly in being there when I need him.

Greg V.Client for four years

We were at the hospital with my son after an accident and the hospital was insisting that we pay first. We messaged Mo at 7pm on a Saturday and he made sure the insurer and the hospital were communicating, so we did not have to pay first.

Rachel P.Family client

I met Mo several years ago and my family and my business have been clients ever since. There have been issues, mainly with the insurer, but Mo has always been there to solve them.

Questions, answered

What is IPMIBenefits?
IPMIBenefits is a free comparison site for international private medical insurance that compares plans benefit by benefit rather than by brand or region. Each benefit page explains one line of the table of benefits in plain English, and Nomi, our AI assistant, quotes 20+ insurers live and ranks the plans that include what you need on real price.
Which benefits can I compare?
Maternity, dental and optical, outpatient, mental health, cancer care, medical evacuation and repatriation, chronic conditions, and wellness and health checks, plus the inpatient core that every plan is built on. Each has its own guide covering what it pays for, how insurers package it, the limits and waiting periods, and what to check.
Are maternity and dental included, and how do waiting periods work?
Rarely in the core. Maternity is usually an optional module or a top-tier benefit; routine dental is a module or higher-tier benefit with a small annual limit. Both carry a waiting period, a stretch after your start date during which the benefit cannot be claimed, longest for maternity. The clock usually runs from the date the benefit was added, so adding it later restarts it.
What about pre-existing conditions?
They are decided at underwriting, before any benefit applies. Under full medical underwriting you declare your history and learn the terms before you buy; under a moratorium recent conditions are excluded until a symptom-free period has run; switch terms can carry existing cover across from another insurer. Our guide explains each.
Is it free to use?
Yes. Reading the guides, comparing and getting quotes from Nomi are free with no obligation. If you take a policy, the insurer pays us as the broker; you pay the same premium you would pay going direct. There is no fee for the comparison and no charge for speaking to an adviser.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We collect only what is needed to quote you, we never sell your data, and your details are handled by an experienced broker. You can read our Privacy Policy for the detail. Nomi asks a few questions about where you live, your age, who needs cover and the benefits you want, and nothing more than that to produce a quote.
Can I speak to a broker?
Whenever you like. Nomi can hand you to an experienced broker at any point to answer questions, confirm the underwriting terms for a pre-existing condition, check a specific benefit against a plan's wording, and arrange the cover. The conversation with Nomi is a starting point, not a substitute for advice on the hard cases.
Are the prices guaranteed?
Quotes are indicative and based on what you tell Nomi. Your final premium, the benefits included and your acceptance are confirmed by the insurer at underwriting, and can change with your medical history and the options you choose, such as the excess and the area of cover. Nothing on this site is a guaranteed price.
Which countries do you cover?
International health insurance is built for expats and globally mobile people, so we can quote cover for most countries of residence worldwide. Benefits and prices vary by country and by the area of cover you choose, including whether the USA is in. Tell Nomi where you live and it quotes the plans available to you there.
